Cochin University of Science and Technology has released a notice regarding the CUSAT CAT Counselling Round 3 BTech Spot Admission schedule of 3rd rank admission for the B.Tech programme based on the Cochin University of Science and Technology Common Admission Test (CUSAT CAT) 2024 rank list.
CUSAT will conduct the third round of BTech spot admissions on September 10, 2024. The university had conducted BTech spot admissions round 2 from September 3 to 5. During spot admissions, seats that remain vacant after the regular admission process are filled.

CUSAT CAT Counselling Round 3 BTech Spot Admission
The official notice of CUSAT CAT 2024 states, “Candidates who have already received allotment and completed the payment of fees and accept spot admission to a different programme in the same fee category will automatically forfeit their previous allotment.
Candidates who have already received allotment and completed the payment of fees and accept spot admission to a different programme of higher fee category will have to pay the remaining fee within the specified time, failing which their new allotment and their previous allotment will be automatically cancelled.”
CUSAT CAT BTech Spot Admission Documents
- CAT 2024 Admit Card or Online Application Registration Confirmation Page
- Migration Certificate (for students from outside the state of Kerala)
- SSLC or Class 10 Marksheet and Pass Certificate (CBSE, ICSE, etc.)
- Class 12 Marksheet and Pass Certificate (CBSE, ICSE, etc.)
- Certificate to prove Keralite status for State Merit seats
- Transfer Certificate and Conduct Certificate from the institution last attended (in English version)
- Four passport size photographs of the candidate
- Community and Non-Creamy Layer Certificate in case of ‘SEBC’ candidates
- Community Certificate issued by the Tahsildar in case of Kerala Scheduled Caste (KSC) or Kerala Scheduled Tribe (KST) candidates
- Candidates seeking admission under the Physically Handicapped (PHC) category should submit a valid Physically Handicapped Certificate issued by the District Medical Board of the state they belong to
- If any of the above certificates is not in English or Malayalam, candidates should submit a translated version in English endorsed by a Notary Public
- Of all the above mentioned original certificates or documents Two sets of self-attested copies
- Proof for special reservation, if any (DAC, NRI, CGW, CHD, EWS, IDC, AND, TG, etc.)
- Declaration to be submitted by the candidate stating nationality in Annexure II (duly filled in) (only for candidates from outside Kerala)

CUSAT CAT Btech Fee payment and verification
As per the CUSAT CAT counselling 2024 notice, candidates participating in spot admissions must pay the required fee online immediately after their allotment. The option to pay will be activated immediately in the candidate’s profile. Non-payment of fee will result in cancellation of admission without any notice.
Once the fee payment is complete, candidates can proceed for document verification. Additionally, candidates must pay any additional fee for PTA, DDF or alumni during the verification process conducted by the department.
CUSAT CAT Btech Spot Admission Time and venue
For the third round of BTech spot admission through CUSAT CAT 2024 rank list, candidates must register for counselling between 9 am and 10 am. Candidates are required to adhere to this registration time slot to participate in the spot admission process.
The counselling will take place at Seminar Complex, Near Administrative Office, Cochin University of Science and Technology, South Kalamassery, Kochi – 682 022.
