The Directorate of Higher Education, Assam in an official notification informed that the admission schedule has been DHE Assam revises admission schedule for UG AND PG due to the flood situation.
The Directorate of Higher Education, Assam has revealed the schedule for undergraduate, postgraduate and integrated master’s programmes. In an official notification released at assamadmission.samarth.ac.in, DHE Assam said that the decision to revise the exams has been taken due to the flood situation in the state.
DHE Assam revises admission schedule for UG AND PG
DHE Assam wrote, “Due to the flood situation in the state and as per the requests received from universities and college authorities for extension of timelines for admission, as directed by Government of Assam in Department of Higher Education, the extended timelines for admission to FYUGP (Four Year Undergraduate Programme), FYIPGP (Five Year Integrated Postgraduate Programme) and FYIMP (Five Year Integrated Master’s Programme) in Assam State Higher Education Portal are as follows.”
For Non-CUET
- Admission of applicants in the first merit list: June 20-22
- Colleges can take admissions on June 23 if required: June 23
- Preparation and publication of second merit list. The second merit list will be published from midnight and the second batch will be published from June 24 to June 25 by 3 pm
- Admission of applicants in the second merit list: June 26, 27 and 28
- Spot admission: June 29 – July 1
For CUET
- Programme Selection: 01-02 July
- Correction Window: 03-04 July
- Academic Screening by Higher Education Institutions: 05-08 July
- Preparation and Publication of 1st Merit List: 09 July
- Admission of Applicants in 1st Merit List: 10-11 July
- Preparation and Publication of 2nd Merit List: 12 July
- Admission of Applicants in 2nd Merit List: 13 & 15 July
- Preparation and Publication of 3rd Merit List: 16 July
- Admission of Applicants in 3rd Merit List: 17-18 July
- Spot Admission (for CUET): 17-18 July
It is worth mentioning here that the final admission for both non-CUET and CUET will be held on July 29-31.
Official Notification
Earlier, Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu informed that 75329 students have completed admissions. He wrote on Twitter (formerly Twitter), “So far, 75329 (out of 126899 of the first merit list) students have completed admissions to undergraduate courses through Samarth portal.
The Higher Education Department has now extended the deadlines for admissions, second merit list and spot admission round. Non-registered students can also get admission during spot round subject to seat availability.”
