M.Tech Spot Admission 2024 in IIITDM Kanchipuram

Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design, and Manufacturing (IIITDM), Kanchipuram, Melkottaiyur, Vandalur-Kelambakkam Road, Chennai 600127, an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, has invited online applications for M.Tech Spot Admission 2024 in IIITDM Kanchipuram to various M.Tech. programmes for the academic year 2024-25.

Admission will be conducted to fill the vacant seats available after the CCMT/Special Round, which will be notified later.

M.Tech Spot Admission 2024 in IIITDM Kanchipuram

GATE-qualified/non-GATE-qualified students are eligible to apply. Students who have already taken admission in IIITDM Kancheepuram through CCMT 2024 are not eligible to participate in the institute-level spot admission.

These programs are (i) Computer Science and Engineering with specialization in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence (ii) Electronics and Communication Engineering with specialization in Communication Systems (iii) Electronics and Communication Engineering with specialization in Microelectronics and VLSI Systems (iv) Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Mechanical System Design (v) Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Smart Manufacturing.

  • Applications must be submitted online, by 5 PM on 29.07.2024.
  • Written examination will be held on 31.07.2024 (reporting time 08:30 AM). Results will be declared on 02.08.2024.
  • Semester registration/commencement of classes will be on 12.08.2024.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicant must possess B.E./B.Tech. or equivalent degree in the prescribed subject with minimum 6.5 CGPA (on a 10-point scale) or 60% for General/General-EWS/OBC (6.0 CGPA or 55% in case of SC/ST/PWD candidates).

Selection will be done on the basis of percentage of marks/CGPA obtained in the qualifying degree and written examination conducted by the Institute based on GATE syllabus.
