A total of 22,000 students took admission in degree part-I regular courses for the academic session 2024-28 in various colleges of Patliputra University Graduate Courses 2024 located in Patna and Nalanda districts during the spot round of the admission process on Saturday.
This takes the total admissions in degree part-I regular courses in arts, science and commerce streams to 82,000 so far, while the number of sanctioned seats is 1.25 lakh, said A K Nag, dean of student welfare (DSW) of PPU.

According to Nag, a thorough evaluation of the admission process revealed that all colleges in the city.
particularly A N College; College of Commerce, Arts and Science; J D Women’s College and TPS College, have filled 98 per cent of the seats in all three streams under the four-year Choice Based Credit System. Nag added 95 % seats have been filled in other constituent colleges in Patna district.
Patliputra University Vacant Seats
The university will take stock of the vacant seats in constituent and affiliated colleges located in semi-urban and rural areas on Monday.
Accordingly, the university will notify the exact position of vacant seats in each college, the DSW said. He said the university has started its new academic session and classes for degree part-1 regular courses from July 4.
